Chamber Music

Chamber music offers musicians the chance to perform together in small ensembles. The Symphony Academy accepts participants at all levels of experience, on a variety of instruments. Students receive thoughtful placement in small ensembles and explore chamber repertoire. During each 60-minute session, an instructor coaches groups on the principles of ensemble playing. During their years in the program, students gain experience working with different instructors and chamber combinations. Groups will have the opportunity to perform at a variety of events in the Des Moines area. Pre-existing groups are welcome, but for those without a formed group an audition will be required for placement.
