Romeo & Juliet is history’s greatest love story – experience the passion and drama of it live in this concert. Then Jeffrey Brillhart, the small-town Iowa boy who studied at Drake University with our own Carl Staplin and grew up to be one of the world’s most prominent organists and soloist with the Philadephia Orchestra, takes his seat at a state-of-the-art Allen Organs Quantum Digital Organ for the awe-inspiring Saint-Saëns “Organ” Symphony. Join us for this once-in-a-lifetime concert experience – all played in our new acoustic shell!
Tickets: Single tickets are $15-$60 and are available through Ticketmaster (up until two hours prior to performances) and the Civic Center Ticket Office (221 Walnut Street, Des Moines; open 9a-5p Monday through Friday and two hours prior to performances). Student tickets are $7.50-$30 and are available through the Civic Center Ticket Office. Student rush tickets, subject to availability, are $5 for junior high and high school students and $10 for all other students the day of the concert through the Civic Center Ticket Office.
The duration of these concerts is approximately two hours and ten minutes, which includes a 20-minute intermission. This program will be rebroadcast at 4 pm on April 24 and at 7 pm on April 25 on Iowa Public Radio, the Radio Home of the Des Moines Symphony.
