Des Moines Symphony partners with U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants

February 11, 2016

U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants Music truly is the universal language.

As part of our 2015-2016 season, the Des Moines Symphony has been pleased to provide concert tickets to refugee families and mentors from the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants’ (Des Moines) Family Mentor Program. By providing tickets to our concerts, the Symphony has a unique opportunity to offer the families an activity that transcends language barriers; an activity that everyone can enjoy regardless of their native language.

Recently, we were pleased to welcome several participants in the Family Mentor Program at our January Masterworks Concerts. We look forward to continuing our partnership with this group and welcoming many more guests in the future!
