Annual Fund

Support The Des Moines Symphony & Academy and invest in Central Iowa’s continued growth as an economic and cultural center.

JoeGiuntaandStringsTicket sales revenue, though robust over the past several seasons, covers less than half the cost required for the Des Moines Symphony Orchestra to perform the world’s great orchestral music. Contributions to the Orchestra Annual Fund and Academy Annual Fund, including through the Symphony’s three professional circles, allow us to hire talented musicians, engage world-class guest artists, offer education and instruction to young musicians and much, much more.

The Des Moines Symphony & Academy depends on individual and community support to create—and engage our community in—extraordinary musical experiences and outstanding educational opportunities.

The Des Moines Symphony Orchestra, comprised of more than 80 professional musicians is an integral factor in the vibrant cultural offering and rich quality of life we enjoy in Central Iowa. Additionally, the Des Moines Symphony Academy is one of only a few music academies in the country to benefit from direct affiliation with a professional symphony orchestra.
