Neelee Brauner, a native of Las Vegas, Nevada, began her music studies playing violin at age four, switching to viola as a sophomore in high school. She earned her Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Viola Performance from the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia and Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona.
During her time in Flagstaff, she had the opportunity to perform with the NAU Symphony Orchestra as the concerto competition winner. She was also a contracted member of the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra. In Athens, Neelee was a part of the graduate string trio as well as the graduate viola quartet which performed at the American Viola Society Conference.
Along with joining the faculty at the Symphony Academy, Neelee has performed with the Des Moines Symphony during their 2021-2022 season.
