Most memorable experience with the Orchestra
My most memorable experience would have to be my very first rehearsal. We began with Dvorak's Carnival Overture -- it starts with one heck of a bang! Up until that day, I had only ever worked in student groups. I was caught completely off guard! The whole orchestra just lit up -- there was so much unity, clarity, and just downright speed. I felt a thrill like none other, and I haven't lost it since.
How I got started playing my instrument
When I was in elementary school, my classmates and I were given a sheet with instruments on it and asked to pick two that we would want to learn. The cello was actually my second choice -- my first was the French horn! I wound up being given a cello instead ... probably for the best.
It changes all the time! Although, I never get tired of Brahms.
