8 Reasons to See the Callaway Sisters this New Year’s Eve

From Broadway to jazz clubs to the silver screen – the Callaway Sisters have done it all. Learn eight fast facts about Liz and Ann and then get your tickets for New Year’s Eve!

1. Ann Hampton Callaway wrote and sang the theme song to The Nanny!

2. Liz Callaway provided the singing voice for Anastasia in the animated film, making famous songs like “Journey into the Past” and “Once Upon a December.”

3. Ann wrote many songs for Barbra Streisand, which feature on seven of her albums. One of her most famous is, “At the Same Time,” on the album Higher Ground, which debuted at No. 1.

4. Liz was also the singing voice for many animated princesses over the years, including Jasmine in Disney’s films King of Thieves and Return of Jafar. She was also the title voice in The Swan Princess. She even sings a song about the struggles of becoming a Disney Princess called her “Princess Medley.”

5. In an interview with the Herald Tribune in 2017, Liz admitted to being so shy as a child, that she wouldn’t sing unless she was home alone. She called herself a “closet singer,” and didn’t sing in public until she reached high school.

6. Ann has a special talent of taking audience suggestions and making a song out of them on the spot!

7. Liz has a holiday EP called Merry and Bright on which the sisters sing “Silent Night/ Mary, Did You Know.” You can stream it on Spotify.
