Symphony Academy Hosts Instrument Petting Zoos

February 11, 2019

The Des Moines Symphony Academy is excited to once again offer hands on programming for children with our Instrument Petting Zoos through the Spring and Summer! This introductory program to stringed instruments, is best for children 3-9 years old, and each sessions lasts about 30 minutes.

During the Instrument Petting Zoo, students get to listen to how these instruments are played, learn about their parts and the sounds they can make, and even try them out for themselves!

Please be sure to register with your local library when applicable! We look forward to seeing you at one of our upcoming events!
