- Title Development Manager
Blake Clyde is passionate about connecting people to the transformative power of music. Since joining the Des Moines Symphony in October 2025, he has served as Development Manager, advancing the Symphony & Academy's mission through donor engagement, stewardship, and community and foundation partnerships that sustain the organization's educational and artistic programs. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Mississippi State University.
Outside the office, Blake is deeply engaged in the Des Moines arts community. He is an avid performer in local theatre and serves as the Director of Training for the Cloris Leachman Excellence in Theatre Arts Awards. In this role, he supports artistic growth and celebrates theatrical achievement across the region's eleven theatre companies.
Blake also enjoys traveling, exploring new restaurants, and experiencing the rich cultural offerings that make Des Moines such a vibrant place to live. When he's not out in the community, Blake can be found spending time with his tuxedo cat, Pepper, and beagle, Drummy.
