Join us for a master class featuring pianist Alessio Bax.  Performing on this master class wil be: 

Rafe Axne
Chopin Nocturne in C-sharp Minor, Op. Posth
Rafe Axne is a senior at Valley High School at a student of John Helmich at the Des Moines Symphony Academy.

Matthew Lins
Schubert Sonata in G Major, D. 894, Moderato molto e cantabile
Matthew Lins is a senior at Drake University and a student of Dr. Nicholas Roth.

Rachel Luchsinger
Chopin Nocturne No. 19 in E Minor, Op. 72, No. 1
Rachel Luchsinger is a freshman at Iowa State University and a student of Dr. Mei-Hsuan Huang 

All Symphony Academy master classes are open the public and free to attend.  Please note the following revised health & safety protocols for this event:

Master Class participants and attending guests are asked to enter through the stage door (located at the corner of 3^rd & Locust Streets).  Masks are optional for this master class.  Guests who provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination are invited to sit onstage for this event.  Guests who do not provide vaccination status will be asked to sit in the hall.
