Enjoy symphonic and pop favorites side-by-side in our Dance Away With Me program featuring vocalists Scarlett Strallen and Ben Davis. From Offenbach's Can Can and Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake to Andrew Lloyd Webber's All I Ask of You and Let it Go from Frozen, there’s something for everyone on the program. Bring your picnics and blankets and join the Symphony for free, family-friendly performances at the Lauridsen Amphitheater at Water Works Park!

How to Get There

Parking for our Water Works Pops concerts is free! Lots will open at 5:00PM. Follow the signage to enter Water Works Park from Fleur Drive; an attendant will direct you to our free parking lots. You can view a full map of the concert grounds, including parking locations, here.

Those requiring accessible parking may park to the south of the stage. For those who would like additional assistance reaching the concert grounds, a golf cart will shuttle between the ADA lot and the concert grounds to transport up to five people at a time.

Want to ride the trails to the concert? A free bicycle valet service will be available starting at 5:00PM. 

What to Bring

Blankets and lawn chairs are welcome on the lawn – no beach umbrellas or tents, please, as they may obstruct others’ view of the concert. 

You are welcome to bring a picnic basket or a cooler to Water Works Pops. Wine and beer can be consumed on park grounds, but please take any trash with you when you leave. There will also be a wide variety of food trucks onsite selling treats.

Scarlett Strallen

Scarlett Strallen Broadway Vocalist

Scarlett Strallen, born and raised in London, is best known on Broadway as Mary Poppins (a role she also played in London and Australia) and as Sibella in A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, where she met her husband, Bryce Pinkham. Other New York Highlights include Gwendolyn in Travesties on Broadway, and Alice in the The New Yorkers with Encores at City Center. Scarlett’s West End career highlight’s include Kathy in Singin’ in the Rain (Olivier Award Nomination) Cassie in A Chorus Line, Clara in Passion at the Donmar Warehouse, Josephine in HMS Pinafore (Olivier Award Nomination), and Truly Scrumptious in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Scarlett’s additional theater credits include the title role in Nell Gwynn at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance at Barrington Stage Company, Lady McDuff in Macbeth with Kenneth Branagh at the Armory in New York, Cunegonde in Candide and Amalia in She Loves Me both at the Menier Chocolate Factory in London, Marion Paroo in The Music Man at Chichester festival theatre and starring alongside Judi Dench in The Merry Wives of Windsor with the Royal Shakespeare Company. In 2014, Scarlett received the ‘Whatsonstage’ award for Best Actress in a Musical for her portrayal of Cassie in A Chorus Line and Cunegonde in Candide in the same season. Original casts include Mamma Mia and The Witches of Eastwick.

A frequent soloist with orchestras around the world, Scarlett’s recent and upcoming engagements in the US include The Boston Pops, The Cleveland Orchestra, Seattle Symphony, Grant Park Music Festival, Utah Symphony, Philly Pops, Phoenix Symphony, Baltimore Symphony, Fort Worth Symphony, Florida Orchestra, Colorado Symphony, St. Louis Symphony, Orlando Philharmonic, Arkansas Symphony, among many others. She made her German debut with the Philharmonie in Berlin with the John Wilson Orchestra in A Celebration of the MGM Film Musicals and performed with the Prague Philharmonic with Maestro Keith Lockhart. For the Proms at the Royal Albert Hall on the BBC Scarlett has performed Cole Porter in Hollywood and Bernstein Stage and Screen with the John Wilson orchestra along with playing Laurie in Oklahoma. Her famous “Glitter and Be Gay” with the John Wilson Orchestra can be found on YouTube. Scarlett has recorded “Something’s Gotta Give” with Simon Keenleyside and “State Fair and the 20th century Fox Songbook” for Chandos Records conducted by David Charles Abel and has recently finished a recording of My Fair Lady as Eliza with the Sinfonia of London. Ben Davis

Ben Davis Broadway Vocalist

A versatile singing actor, Ben Davis was most recently seen on Broadway in the Tony Award Winning musical Dear Evan Hansen.  His extensive Broadway career includes Mr. Lindquist in A Little Night Music with Elaine Stritch and Bernadette Peters, Javert and Enjolras in Les Miserables, as Trevor Graydon in Thoroughly Modern Millie and “The Preacher” in Violet.  He received a Tony Honor and Ovation Award for his work as Marcello in Baz Luhrmann’s production of La Bohème.  He also starred in the off-Broadway production of On A Clear Day You Can See Forever at the Irish Repertory Theatre.  Ben recently toured the country as Captain Von Trapp in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music.  He starred as Fred/Petruchio in Kiss Me Kate at London's Royal Albert Hall as part of the BBC Proms and performed opposite Kelli O'Hara and Victor Garber in Kurt Weill's, Knickerbocker Holiday at Lincoln Center. 

An active concert artist, Ben performed as a guest soloist at Tanglewood with the Boston Pops, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Caramoor Festival, the RTE Orchestra in Dublin, Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, Phoenix Symphony, Westchester Philharmonic w/Kelli O’Hara, and West Virginia Symphony.  He also performed at The Hollywood Bowl as Patrick in Mame and in Bernstein’s Mass.

His TV and Film credits include a film version of  Samuel Barber’s “A Hand of Bridge”, Papageno in ​​“The Magic Flute” directed by Kenneth Branagh, “Blue Bloods”, “30 Rock”,  and “Numb3rs”.
