Join us for an event designed for conductors and music students featuring conductor Mei-Ann Chen, Music Director of the Chicago Sinfonietta and Artistic Parter of Houston’s ROCO.

This event is presented in conjunction with Maestra Chen’s appearance as Guest Conductor with the Des Moines Symphony.

Observe Mei-Ann Chen in a rehearsal setting by attending that morning’s dress rehearsal with the Des Moines Symphony.

Share in a thought-provoking conversation with Mei-Ann Chen on the roles of music director and guest conductor. Participants will have the opportunity to submit other discussion topics prior to the event.

Maestra Class attendees will receive a complimentary ticket to attend that weekend’s Chen Conducts Rachmaninoff Masterworks concert.
