Allison Philson began studying the violin at age 3 through the University of Northern Iowa Suzuki School of Music. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Music Education from St. Olaf College and is a licensed teacher in K-12 music. Passionate about education, Allison has taught band, orchestra, and general music in public schools and has taught private lessons to students ages 3 through adult. She has also frequently performed with the Des Moines Symphony since 2013 and is an active violinist throughout the Des Moines area.
