Eric Graf is a performer and teacher based in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. In addition to playing in the Des Moines Symphony, he is a cellist in the Duluth-Superior Symphony and South Dakota Symphony. He has also held positions with the Wheeling Symphony, Lexington Philharmonic, and Mansfield Symphony. Eric was previously a member of Twin Cities-based Lux String Quartet, and loves any chance he gets to play chamber music. He has performed as a soloist and chamber musician all across the US, and in Canada and Denmark. An avid teacher of all levels and ages, he maintains a full private studio around the greater Minneapolis-St. Paul area. He holds a Master’s degree in Cello Performance and Suzuki Pedagogy from the Cleveland Institute of Music, having studied with Dr. Melissa Kraut, and a Bachelor’s degree in Cello Performance from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, where he studied with Tanya Remenikova. Eric loves puzzles of all kinds, hiking, and settling down with a good book!
