- Title Development Manager
Blake Clyde joined the Des Moines Symphony & Academy in 2025 as Development Manager. He oversees annual giving, donor stewardship, and grants, helping sustain the orchestra’s performances and the Academy’s music education programs. His work centers on building relationships with the people who make these programs possible and expanding access to the arts.
Beyond the Symphony, Blake serves as Vice President of the Cloris Awards and as a Commissioner on the Des Moines Civil and Human Rights Commission. Through the Cloris Awards, he supports the volunteer judges whose work recognizes and celebrates local theatre. His service on the Commission reflects his commitment to a community where everyone feels welcome and has the opportunity to participate.
From playing bassoon throughout his school and college years to performing in and supporting local theatre, Blake brings a lifelong connection to music and the arts to his work.
