- Title Director of Development
Renée Davenport joined the Des Moines Symphony staff in May 2014. She holds a Bachelor of Music in voice performance from Coe College and Master of Music in voice performance from Bowling Green State University in Ohio.
Renée currently leads the comprehensive development program that secures significant financial resources to support the current and future needs of the Des Moines Symphony & Academy. In her previous appointment as Development Manager, she was responsible for the Symphony & Academy’s individual annual giving programs including donor engagement, communication and assistance with development special events.
In addition to her work at the Symphony, Renée works with Des Moines metro-area high school voice students as a show choir director and assistant drama director, and can be seen, from time to time, in local theatrical productions.
