The Symphony has announced a new initiative to provide free livestreamed concert access to community and nonprofit organizations, as well as free streaming passes for teachers and healthcare workers. Read on for more details about this exciting new program.
The Des Moines Symphony has announced two new initiatives intended to deepen its connection with Central Iowa and the surrounding community.
Nonprofits and community organizations are invited to apply for free access to share the Symphony's livestreamed concerts with the communities they serve. Partner organizations will be provided with complimentary access to the concert broadcasts, which can then be shared through outdoor viewing parties, intranet broadcasts, and more. From after-school organizations to museums, senior living centers to community parks and even school music departments, organizations of all kinds are invited to submit their proposals for sharing the Symphony broadcasts with their wider community. Organizations who apply for access will be contacted within two business days.
Free Tickets for Teachers & Healthcare Workers
The Des Moines Symphony has announced that teachers and healthcare workers are eligible for complimentary streaming passes to access a livestreamed Des Moines Symphony concert of their choice. All Live from the Temple concerts through December 2020 are included in the offer.
“Great music has the power to inspire, reduce stress and ease burdens,” said Maestro Joseph Giunta, Music Director & Conductor of the Des Moines Symphony. “The Des Moines Symphony believes everyone should have the opportunity to experience this art form, and our educators and healthcare workers have been the heroes of this pandemic. We invite them, along with their families, to join us as our guests for an upcoming livestreamed concert.”
