Symphony with a Twist: Virtual Donor Lounge

Members of the Maestro’s Circle are invited to join us us at our virtual donor lounge – Symphony with a Twist! Bring your questions and raise a glass at this live Zoom event where Maestro Giunta will be joined by special guests composer Michael Torke and Des Moines Symphony musician Madeline Capistran.

Symphony with a Twist will begin with a short cocktail class. If you are interested in making the featured cocktail, all ingredients are available at Central City Liquors or Ingersoll Wine & Spirits.

Peppermint Bark Martini:

1.25 oz Vanilla Vodka
2.25 oz White Cream Liqueur
.25 oz cream
1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips, melted
1 peppermint candy or 2 inch piece of candy cane, crushed

Combine vodka, liqueur, and cream in a mixing glass, add ice, and shake vigorously. Pour melted chocolate onto a shallow plate, and place crushed candy canes on another. Dip rim of martini glass in chocolate, then candy. Strain drink into glass.
