Our latest DMSO at Home video highlights the Des Moines Symphony Academy's Honors String Quartet. The video was recorded during their award-winning 2018-2019 season and features a new intro from their coach, Mary Pshonik.
This talented quartet was assembled based on their exceptional musicianship and dedication through the Des Moines Symphony Youth Orchestra, and won First Place in the Finals of the 2019 St. Paul Chamber Orchestra Youth Chamber Music Competition. Members included Beau Henson, First Violin; Olivia Wong, Second Violin; Dorothy Junginger, Viola; and Joanna Kim, Cello.
Listen as the quartet plays Ravel's String Quartet in F Major.
