The majesty of Handel and Copland’s idyllic, inspiring Appalachian Spring bookend a program that features Pulitzer Prize-winning African-American composer George Walker’s serene Lyric for Strings along with Vivaldi’s sparkling, brilliant Concerto for Two Trumpets.
