Symphony Academy Honors Ensemble, Travels to Chicago

While we enjoyed the sounds of the Symphony this weekend, the Symphony Academy Honors String Quartet traveled to Chicago. Four talented student musicians competed in the Discover National Chamber Music Competition at Ravinia Festival’s Bennett Gordon Hall.

The Des Moines Symphony Academy is pleased to announce the creation of the Des Moines Symphony Youth Wind Ensemble, which will be the fifth youth ensemble at the Academy, and the first wind ensemble to join the ranks.
